Literature Text

You walk down the street of the village, lying in the foot of the fortress of Masyaf. It was exceptionally cool today and you could feel it as the wind blows your face. You liked being out here and talk to people. You sometimes glanced up at the fortress lost in thoughts. Today you stared at the tall stone walls longer than usual. That’s when you bumped in someone. You drop the basket you were carrying in surprise.
-I am so sorry. I didn’t see you there- you apologized as you knelled down to pick up the apples you just bought. The person kneeled beside you to help you. As you both put the fruits back in the basket, your hands touched for a moment. You then look at the stranger and noticed he is wearing an assassin uniform.
- I should be the one apologizing- he smiled at you, picking up the basket- its quit heavy for a gentle lady like you to carry it. Mind if I escort you?
You were surprised at his kindness. Never before someone proposed you help. People only watched you from a distance and then ignored you. You simply nodded and he smiled more.
-My name is Kadar. How they call you?
- (your name) - you answer hesitantly twirling a strand of hair around your finger. Your eyes automatically moved to stare at your feet. Kadar laughed at your nervousness. You blushed visibly and he noticed that too.
-So, which direction are you going? - He breaks the awkwardness with another sudden question. You pointed in direction of where you live. You begin your long walk side by side. You glanced up at the boy, realizing you saw him before here in the village, but never talked in person. He was usually escorted of two man, one probably relative of his and the other their fellow comrade. He seems to notice, because he turned his attention to you.
- Is it there something on my face? - He lifts his hand to clean whatever was there. You laughed lightly, shocking your head. He smiled for a third time as you meet few minutes ago-I like your smile.
You blushed yet again, looking down avoiding eye contact. You felt uncomfortable watching him, but at the same time tempted to.
-You know you are not obliged to help me- you said quietly almost talking to yourself than to him.
-I can’t turn my back to someone who needs help. I just like helping people and I hate to just stand and watch without doing anything like most people do- he answered, while watching straight ahead. You couldn’t help but stare at his profile, his dark hair, blow by the light wind. But what enchanted you were his bright blue eyes. It was rare to see someone with this eye color around here. You soon reach your house and you slow down.
-I live here! Well, thank you for the help- you didn’t let him say anything, pulling the basket from his hands and hurrying to the door. When you were inside, you pressed your back to the door, peeking through the window at the street. He was gone.
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
Later that day near sunset you step outside with a broom in hand. It was a nice late afternoon, the air cooling down. You begin to broom the path in front of your house when you heard trotting. You look up just in time to see Kadar fly off his house back in a pile of hay. You drop the broom on the ground, running over to him.
-Kadar, are you okay? - You screamed, but stop few steps from him as he pick up a bouquet of desert flowers. You couldn’t help but smile, taking the flowers. You then offered him your hand to help him up. Once he was on his feet you kissed his cheek.
-Thank you! - You blushed, looking up at him. He was about to say something when the front door opens, both of you turning to see your father standing on the doorway.
-/your name/ come inside. It’s not safe outside at night- he called for you with hoarseness. You obediently walked over to him, glancing over your shoulder at Kadar , who waited for you to enter inside, before he climb his horse and ride back to the fortress.
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
A week passed as you and Kadar met on the marketplace. He visited you every day and you enjoyed his company. But one day he came to your house as you just step outside with the basket and his expression was dark and you assume something bad happened.
-Kadar? What’s wrong? - You hurry up to him worry. He wrapped his arms around you, before he spoke.
-I am send on an important mission in Jerusalem. I don’t know if I’ll be back alive, but I want you to know I love you- as this words escaped his lips your eyes fill with tears. You dropped the basked, hugging him tightly.
-Just make sure you come back in one peace and still breathing- you sobbed as he pulled away, cupping your face in his hands. Sad smile crossed his lips as he kissed your forehead.
-I’ll make sure to keep that promise- he said quietly with a hint of hesitation and you knew why. The chances to survive in battle are minimal unless you are not skillful fighter. You stood on the path near your house as Kadar ride off with two other assassins. Your eyes followed them until they disappear in the distance.
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
You woke up with a yelp later that night. You had a nightmare, but for some reason you had a bad feeling about it. You slip out the bed and sneak out the window. Luckily your parents were heavy sleepers. You went to the storage where you keep your only horse. You found that beautiful stallion out the village a year ago. You sometimes take a walk down the road not, but only in border of the village. On one of this short walks you spotted the approaching animal, but no horseman on. It was like it came from a far. After a small argument with your father he permits you to keep it.
When the stallion heard you entering he snorts, walking over to you. You gently pated his mane and climbed his back. He walks out the storage without you saying any command to him, like he knew what was in your head. You lashed the bridals and you rode to Jerusalem.
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
You ride with unbelievable speed. You had no idea where you were, but one place swam bright in your mind. When you arrive you noticed soldiers outside guarding the entrance. You look for another way to get in and you spotted a hole in the wall. You slip off the horse shushing the stallion to keep silence and then you made your way to the hole. But they heard you and one of them pulled out his sword approaching your hiding place. You froze in your place. Your heart beat faster as fear rise within you. For a moment you thought they’ll find you and probably kill you when your stallion jumps out the bushes, blocking the man’s way. The horse stands on his back legs preventing the Templar to pass through. You use this opportunity to run over to the hole and jump in before the other guard catches you. You run over to a statue and hide behind it, waiting for the soldier to pass by. When you lost him you sighed in relive. Pressing your back to the stone you stood there a few more minutes before you continued walking.  You took a look at your surroundings for something to defend yourself with. The only useful thing was a wooden plank. You picked it up not having much of a choice in that matter. Down the hall you heard voices and indeed there were people there. You approached, keeping your presence hidden in the shadows. In the hall you noticed few salutes one of them was Kadar. As you observed the scene someone came from behind you, grabbing you by the arms. You yelped struggling to get away but the soldier grip was to strong.
-Sir, here is the sneaky rat we have been warned about- the man said, dragging you to the small group in the hall. You could see fear in Kadar’s eyes, even his hood shading his face. Robert de Sablé noticed that too and pull out his sword and pressed it’s blade to your neck.
-You should know it’s not wise to stick your nose in other business- he made small cut, blood begin to drip out the wound. Without thinking Kadar stepped forward, but Malik stopped him, grabbing on his shoulder. The Templar noticed that with the corner of his eye, lowering his weapon.
-So you know her? How interesting! Since she is so important to you we can make a deal. If you want her alive, you will stay away from the Apple; otherwise I’ll chop her head and impale it in the middle of the village.
The assassins stepped back, but when the Templars thought they gave up Altair pulled one of his knives and threw it at the soldier holding you. When you were free you run to much more save place pass Robert, who tried to catch you. Another knife flies inches from you, stabbing a Templar, who attacks you. You stop in your track seeing something glow. You slowly approached it and pick it up. The object was round like a ball, but heavy. You completely forgot about the battle staring at that soft light. Suddenly a hand on your shoulder surprised you and you drop the strange sphere. It falls on the ground, cracking right in the middle. No one seems to notice, aside from the person behind you. You look over your shoulder seeing Kadar. He walks over to the share and picks it up. That’s when a soldier run over to you with lifted sword. For someone who never fights in her life your reflexes were quick enough and you pulled out Kadar sword, stabbing the Templar. He drops his weapon and fall on the stone floor. You even then beat him with the sword on the head. Kadar stopped you, taking his sword back from your hands.
-Kadar!-Malik calls for his brother. The young assassin grabs your hand and run after his brother.
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
You came out on a platform; only way to escape was to jump over. Malik measured the distance then turn up to face you.
-You better go first. I’ll help you get through- he grabs your hand, but you refused to move.
-I won’t go without Kadar. I came here for a reason. Believe it or not I have a vision. All that happening here I saw it in my dream. For some reason I can see things before they happen. So thrust me and let me stay behind.
-I am not going …- he begins, but you cut his sentence by kissing him.
-Now go, I’ll be right behind you- you said stepping back. Kadar doesn’t move at first, so Malik pulled him to the edge. They jumped on the other side leaving you alone. You took a deep breath, looking at the stairs where you came from. The soldiers were near.  On the other side Kadar and Malik were fighting with another group of Templars. You quickly grab a shovel randomly laying there and run to the edge yourself, jumping over. You land on one of the soldiers, hitting another one with the shovel. You were better than you thought. When all the soldiers were on the ground passed out or dead the tree of you run over to the horses.
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
You came home to a really angry father and worried mother. After you told them what happened they forbids you to see Kadar or any of the assassins at that matter. Your family even moved to another village away from the Creed and all that dangers it put the villagers through. You watched back at the fortress with sad eyes as it soon disappeared in the distance.
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
Years later you return to this place. Strands of silver hair already were visible here and there. But your young color still there. When you arrived you could notice many things here changed. You rode over to the fortress. The way was long, but eventually you reached the gate. The guards stopped you.
-Who are you and what business you have here?- one of them asked. You were about to answer when you heard your name been called. You lift your eyes seeing someone familiar. It took you a while to recognize Kadar. He was older now, but that same sparkle in his eyes remaining. You slip off the horse and run over to him. You both hugged, staying like that for a while.
-It’s been so long. I missed you- you said with a smile, still holding him.
-About 15 years. I was wondering if I’ll see you again- he pulled back, looking at you- I am glad you return.
-And I am planning to stay this time- you smiled and both shared a kiss under the rays of the morning sun.
Here is Kadar. I like him like a character and I think he shouldn't die at all so here he survive, grow old and eventually maybe have kids (use your imagination ;) ) Next I'll probably is Maria x Male reader.
